Gigantamax Snorlax Max Battle Day

Event Date and Time:

Saturday, April 19, 2025 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. local time

Gigantamax Debut!

For the first time ever, the following Pokémon will appear in six-star Max Battles:

  • Gigantamax Snorlax*

*Lucky Trainers may even encounter a Shiny Gigantamax Snorlax!

Please note: Gigantamax Pokémon cannot be transferred to Pokémon HOME.

Event Bonuses

During the event, Trainers can enjoy the following bonuses:

  • Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600.
  • All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles.
  • Power Spots will refresh more frequently.
  • Earn 8× Max Particles from Power Spots.
  • Two additional Special Trades available.

Additional Bonuses (April 19, 12:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. local time):

  • 2× Max Particles from exploring.
  • 1/4 adventuring distance required to receive Max Particles.

Important: To activate these bonuses, Trainers must first collect all available Max Particles from the Nearby menu. Max Particles can be gathered daily through exploration with Adventure Sync enabled.

Timed Research

Leading up to the event, Timed Research will be available, offering exciting rewards to help you prepare for battle.

Timed Research Period:

April 16 at 6:00 p.m. – April 19 at 5:00 p.m. local time

Trainers who complete the Timed Research will encounter Dynamax Machop* and earn rewards such as Candy and Max Particles to power up their team.

*Lucky Trainers may even encounter a Shiny Dynamax Machop!

Note: This Timed Research expires on April 19 at 5:00 p.m. local time. Make sure to complete all tasks and claim rewards before the deadline!

Event Ticket

For US$5.00 (or local equivalent), Trainers can purchase an event-exclusive Timed Research ticket.

Ticket Rewards Include:

  • 1 Max Mushroom
  • 25,000 XP

Additional Ticket Bonuses:

  • 2× XP from Max Battles
  • Max Particle collection limit increased to 5,600

Availability:

  • The event ticket will be on sale until April 19, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. local time.
  • Trainers can gift tickets to friends with whom they share a Great Friends level or higher.
  • Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be purchased with PokéCoins.

Pokémon GO Web Store – Ultra Ticket Box

A special Gigantamax Snorlax Max Battle Day Ultra Ticket Box will be available for US$4.99. This bundle includes:

  • An event ticket
  • A bonus Max Particle Pack

Max Mushrooms – Boost Your Battle Power!

Max Mushrooms are special items that temporarily double all damage dealt by Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon in Max Battles.

  • Multiple Max Mushrooms can be used consecutively to extend the duration of the effect.
  • You can activate a Max Mushroom from your Item Bag while in a Max Battle lobby.
  • Check the lobby display to see if other Trainers have activated Max Mushrooms.
